Capital One draw: manchester united draw sunderland

Manchester United avoided meeting neighbors Manchester City in the semifinals of the Capital One Cup, drawing Sunderland, with the first leg to be played at the Stadium of Light.

United, whose win at Stoke featured a first-half delay caused by a ferocious hailstorm, progressed to the last four thanks to goals from Ashley Young and Patrice Evra.
And after Sunderland saw off Chelsea at the Stadium of Light on Tuesday, the two will go head-to-head next month.
United manager David Moyes said: "I'm glad we're through. It will be a tough semifinal against Sunderland. Sunderland played well to beat Chelsea, so anything can happen -- but we are really pleased to be in the last four."
West Ham were rewarded for their fine comeback win at White Hart Lane -- two goals in the last ten minutes saw them recover from 1-0 down -- with a tie against City, who beat Championship Leicester at the King Power Stadium on Tuesday.
