KUN AGUERO: POOR AWAY FORM MIGHT COST US THE TITTLE
Sergio Aguero has warned Manchester City their poor away form could cost them the title.
The Argentina international is the Premier League’s joint top scorer but his side are in eighth place after losing four of their six games on their travels.
City possess the division’s only 100 percent home record but have taken just four points from a possible 18 on the road and have already been beaten at Cardiff, Aston Villa, Chelsea and Sunderland.
Aguero told City’s official website: “We have the squad to win the Premier League and we need to be consistent. We must try to stop making mistakes away from home because at the end of the season it could make all the difference.
“At the Etihad Stadium, we are doing well. We are strong but away we must improve.”
Aguero has scored 12 goals in his last ten games and has formed a prolific partnership with Alvaro Negredo, who has struck five times in his last four matches as City have managed 28 goals in just 11 league games.
The Spaniard joined from Sevilla in July and Aguero added: “Alvaro arrived in the summer and has adapted very well. We have developed a good partnership together quite quickly. Samir [Nasri] and [David] Silva are in great form at the moment, which is good because they keep the ball so well and it helps the forwards.”
