spurs Christian Eriksen is likely to be sidelined for upto six weeks
Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen is likely to be sidelined for a
number of weeks after limping off during Denmark's 2-1 win over Norway
with an ankle injury.
Eriksen reportedly injured ligaments in his ankle following a late challenge in the first-half of the match as the Danes led 1-0 thanks to William Kvist's opener.
The 21-year-old will undergo scans in his home country to assess the extent of the injury, although Denmark coach Morten Olsen expressed his fears for the recovery of Eriksen.
"We don't know if he's out for four or six weeks or how long it will take," he said. "It's bad for him at a new club."
Eriksen has made seven Premier League appearances since joining Spurs in the summer.
